Subject: Long absences not showing in scedulers

Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: Always

Hi,
I asked the question below in the 6 and 7 forum a year and a half ago, but got no answer. I knew that we would upgrade before long, so I reassured myself that this would solve the problem. But now all mailboxes and clients are Re. 8.5.2, and we still can't see long absences in scedulers etc.
Can somebody please tell me what is going on - it is not something we can live with for ever and ever.

Old problem still unresolved:
In my company we have employees who are absent for periods of a year or more - either on maternity leave or working as consultants in other companies.
But if they make an all day event in their calendar that stretches over six months, they appear as free in scedulers and group calendars.
I have searched Help and this site without finding anything at all about this. Are we really the only ones having this problem?

Hope I have more luck this time. Please provide some input - even just to tell me that you can make it work in your company.
Thanks in advance
Karen
